The New Testament – the Triune God’s Biography

Verse 1

8.8.8.8

In the New Testament we can see

The Triune God's biography

Displayed for His children to see

His Being, His economy

We see Him revealed with His plan

Dispensing Himself into man

For this Purpose - Divine Trinity,

revealed Himself to you and me.

Chorus 1

9.9.6.6.8

[Triune God]* revealed for us to behold

He came to fulfill What the prophets foretold

Oh Let us Pursue Him

By His grace and Mercy

He will be our reality

Verse 2

The Gospels present the God man

Divine and yet fully human

Lived God in His humanity

Tabernacle containing glory

On the surface He just seemed so plain

A common lowborn Nazarene

Yet with Him there's a great mystery,

His content was divinity

Chorus 2

Our God b'came flesh and dwelt among us

[Full of light] [full of life]

His living glorious

His living the expression

Of the Father within Him

Glory hidden in humanity.

Verse 3

In the letters the Spirit's in view

He's making our inward parts new

Imparting the life of the Son

Replacing us with His person.

The Church is the fullness of Him

As we’re filled with His Spirit within

His riches are supplied to us

To make us His Bride glorious.

Chorus 3

Our God, indwelling life-giving one

[As the Spirit], the reality of the Son

[In resurrection] He is living

[In the church] His great Body

As the Spirit He now dwells within.

Verse 4

Revelation, a book of lampstands

Testimony of a glorified Man

With the Spirit burning sevenfold

To produce overcomers so bold

Local Churches the expressions of God

As lampstands they tell of this One

The stands formed of Gold with their Flames

[Shine with] oneness that proves that He came.

Chorus 4

[As the gold] finds form within the lampstand

The Father -  declared in a Wonderful Man,

Seven Spirits now the eyes

[of The Son] - [intensified]

The Churches now shine with His light.

Verse 5

The result we shall one day become

Holy City, New Jerusalem

Consummation of God's work in man

The product of God’s great plan

Living Stones brought together to show

The appearance of the One that we know

Fully glorifying His great Name

The throne and the wall now the same

Chorus 5

[God within] this City shines as its light

[As the water] [and the tree] He supplies it with Life

God and man have become one

He has gained His expression

Oh what a wonderful vision.
