Isaiah 43-48 Sharing

" We also have to realize that God is the one in control of everything. If we had accomplished something, it’s not because we but God who did it..."

This section God repetitively said, "I am Jehovah"; "I am the First, and the Last." And He is the only one who created all things, knew all things, decided all things, controlled all things, and accomplished all things. God also called the gentile king Cyrus as His servant to fulfill God’s desire to carry out His work for the holy city Jerusalem and Israel. God also said He will redeem them, the Israel, save them, nourish them, and bless them. Moreover, God called Israel, Jacob, as His servant, His chosen one, and His witnesses, while pointing out they are transgressors, hardhearted ones, obstinate ones, stiff-necked ones. And He hates idols.

As the last 27 chapters of Isaiah (40-66) portrays the New Testament books. This section really shows our life in the New Testament age. We as the Gentiles were called out by God today. We are also today’s Israel being chosen by God and redeemed by Him. Everyday we are serving Him as our master to carry out His will on this earth, while God continues to nourish us, bless us, and save us everyday. We also have to realize that God is the one in control of everything. If we had accomplished something, it’s not because we but God who did it; because He is the one who created all things, knew all things, decided all things, controlled all things, and accomplished all things. We cannot trust in ourselves, because our natural man is nothing but fallen and sinful, nor can we trust any idols, anything other than God, because they cannot save us. We can only rely on God, the only one God. He is our redeemer, our savior, our creator, our king, our hope, and our glory. Praise Him.
